Commissioned by the Polkadot UX Bounty through Braille Studio, I executed a 1-month technical audit of Nova Wallet’s core infrastructure. Benchmarking against leading Web3 wallet standards, I identified recurrent friction in Asset Management and dApp Browser functionality, specifically where cross-chain complexity overwhelmed the user experience. Collaborating with the Nova CTO, I validated backend constraints to ensure every recommendation was technically viable. A key focus was the Cloud Backup onboarding, where I surfaced critical gaps in how technical requirements were communicated, removing a barrier to asset backup for non-technical users. Through power-user testing on Multisig, I refactored the notification and approval journey to eliminate opaque transaction states. By introducing global status visibility and human-readable system remarks, I shifted the experience from manual "recall" to intuitive action, the audit was presented to the team and they have planned to implement 70%+ of the recommendations.
